Do You Know the Pain of Losing a Child?

Fran Caffey Sandin is an author of two books sharing her own incredible story and those of many others who have gone through a severe trauma but found the strength to get through.

She has also written articles for magazines including Focus on the Family, Decision, Home Life, Virtue. In addition to her two books, she co-authored the best-seller, Courage for
the Chicken-Hearted and its sequel Eggstra Courage for the Chicken-Hearted

Fran knows the heartbreak of losing your child.  Not only did she say goodbye to her little Jeffrey, but to an older son, Steve, as well.  Steve had a Master of Physical Therapy degree yet died at the age of 43 after struggling with cystic fibrosis for 14 years and kidney failure for 7 years.

Because of Fran's own father’s suicide death at age 71 and the deaths of my two sons, she can speak on grief recovery—perhaps using a different slant than the usual “steps.”

Her interview will touch your heart and if you know anyone who has lost a child, this is a must-hear interview and must-read book:

FRAN'S LATEST RELEASE

HOPE on the Way: DEVOTIONS to Go

By Fran Caffey Sandin

Do you like to travel? Or do you prefer staying at home?

Either way you will be inspired by the 52 devotional stories in this book. Fran and her husband, Jim, have visited many states and countries. Their encounters have confirmed their belief in God as the Creator of the world and everyone in it. Their travels always bring a Scripture to mind; and in some circumstances, they have shared their faith with others. A few strangers allowed Fran to interview them, so she included their testimonies as well. Three from the Ukraine are especially powerful.

Whether by ground, sea, or air, join Fran and Jim and enjoy HOPE on the Way.

See You Later Jeffrey was born out of Fran's search for answers after the death of her 17-month-old son before the days of the meningitis vaccine.
She was a Christian but the shock of Jeffrey’s sudden death was an emotional and spiritual trauma that left her with unanswered questions such as "Is God punishing me? Does God answer prayer? Am I becoming bitter? Will I
ever recover from this?"

There were no available books to help her so she sought her own answers for two years and then realized her findings would be a great encouragement to others struggling with the death of a child.

Touching the Clouds is a collection of 17 true stories, two of them Fran's.  Fran interviewed fifteen women who had life-changing experiences and wrote their stories in the first person.  Each chapter ends with three sections for practical application for the reader.
